Greetings in Christ Risen!

On behalf of the parishioners at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I warmly welcome your visit to our Website.  Present within every bit and pixel of these pages, is our most fundamental call to be Missionary Disciples who invite you to Encounter Christ and Live as Disciples.

With life centered in the love of God, revealed most perfectly in Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, we wholeheartedly accept his

~ command to love as he has loved us (John 15:17),

~ mandate to serve as he has served us (John 13:15),  and

~ commission to make Disciples as he has made of us (Matthew 28:19).

In the web pages that follow I hope you will find easy access to regularly sought information (Mass and Confession Schedules, Mass Intentions, Prayer Requests, Faith Formation, Sacramental Preparation, and Outreach to those in Need).

Too we will always communicate here the many ways we move, in prayer and fellowship, through the Seasons of the Year with Special Events and Opportunities. You have an open invitation to be with us to love and serve with the very Heart of Jesus.

If you are new to the area, come and prayerfully consider The Basilica for your parish home.  If you are not Catholic, come pray with us anytime to learn who we are and what we believe.  In a special way I invite those who have fallen away for whatever reason, to come and see; feel welcome to consider reconnecting among us.

If you have any questions, always feel free to call the Parish Center at 404-522-6800 or contact a staff member here.   And thank you for visiting; may the Lord bless and keep you close to His Sacred Heart.

Yours in Christ Risen,

Very Reverend John T. Howren, V.F.

Rector and Pastor
