What does it mean to "join the parish" and become a parishioner?
Becoming a Catholic parishioner means officially joining your local "spiritual home" for belonging, support, and sacramental access, creating a two-way commitment where you're part of a faith family, receive care in life's joys and struggles, and can get sacraments like Baptism, Marriage, or Confirmation, while also supporting the parish's mission through time, talent, and treasure. If you are asked to be a Godparent or a Confirmation Sponsor, being a registered parishioner allows you to request and receive a Sponsor Form. It's about moving from being a spectator to an active member, getting rooted in a community that helps you grow in faith and offers connection in a modern world.
